Assistant Under Treasurer Investment Facilitation

Day to day, the AUT is responsible for identifying, promoting, attracting, and facilitating investments that best leverage Queensland’s advantages and opportunities. This will include investor targeting and engagement nationally and internationally, hosting inward delegations and working with key stakeholders to attract investment into Queensland.
Critical to the role is the ability to work at pace with investors to secure significant investment opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will need to have high-level strategic, conceptual, analytical and creative capabilities with an understanding of the political, social, economic and commercial environment to make informed, sound judgements. A results-focused approach is important, and you will be required to cultivate exceptional productive working relationships.
You will have the ability to lead, manage and motivate people, along with a proven capacity to build and grow partnerships. You will be leading a team of approx. 17 FTEs, including talented Directors who will ensure that goals are achieved.
Critical to your success will be your ability to demonstrate your commercial nous to measure and assess potential opportunities, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
