Tax and Regulations of Kerala Jackpot Prize
Section 194B depicts that a deduction of 30% in Tax is applied to all lottery prizes. This is the Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) from the Kerala Lottery winners. An additional percentage (4%) of the cess levied applies to lottery winners.
You’ll have a time of 30 days after the announcement of results to submit your lottery ticket to the directorate to claim your prize. Participants with a lottery prize of less than 2 lakhs can claim the prize directly through the general lottery office. Contact the directorate general office for further process if the prize money is more than that.
